The Kalinga State University-Counseling, Testing, and Placement Center (CTPC), under the supervision of Ms. Lovelia Iringan and in coordination with the University Registrar headed by Mr. Danilo Iso, administered the entrance examinations to the first batch of registrants on April 26, 2025, at the KSU Main Campus.
The examination aims to screen incoming freshmen students to determine the courses they are qualified to enroll in, especially for board programs where strict retention policies are enforced. It also allows the Guidance Office to assist students, particularly those who do not pass the examination, in aligning their course choices accordingly.
On the same day, the ROTC unit conducted an orientation for the examinees to help them decide whether to enroll in ROTC or NSTP. This initiative responds to the recommendation of the University President following concerns raised during the recent RAATI briefing regarding the declining number of ROTC enrollees.
Approximately 2,000 entrants took the examinations, each aspiring to join Kalinga State University. The next schedules for the entrance examinations are set for May 3 and May 10, 2025.
Incoming examinees are reminded to arrive early before the start of the examination to avoid missing their slot.
