A face-to-face briefing was conducted on April 25, 2025, at the KSU Student Center by DOST- CAR Provincial Science and Technology Office- Kalinga representative, in partnership with the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), to promote the opening of applications for the DOST-Science Education Institute’s (SEI) Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) program.

The Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS) Program aims to: provide scholarships that will finance the education of talented and deserving students in their third year of college and who are pursuing degree programs in the areas of science and technology; and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified S&T human resources who can steer the country towards national progress.

The application period starts from April 21- May 23, 2025, through the DOST’s E- Sholars Application System at www.science-scholarships.ph.

An exam review will also be conducted by current DOST scholars at the university to assist incoming applicants in preparing for the qualifying exam which will take place on July 27, 2025.
